This way to bake mushrooms in the oven is typical of Palerm and neighbouring towns. After cleaning, cut the mushrooms into stripes or small cubes. Spread a little oil on the bottom of the Pyrex, then place the mushrooms and stir until uniform.
On the surface sprinkle a handful breadcrumbs, abundant minced parsley and finely minced garlic; salt and pepper.
Wild marjoram is optional but do not use abundantly. Bake in the oven until au gratin. Before serving, squeeze some lemon juice over.
